evaluation
first i had to think of an interesting story. my story idea was to make the reader go through the story and find out who has eaten the princesses birthday cake, i change my story a couple times but finally when back to my original idea.the second thing i had done after figuring out what my story was going to evolve around was i had to create a story board. i used a traditional method to created the pictures i kneaded, once i had finished the story board i used a graphics tablet to create the final images.
after i used flash to animate it i used digital methods as i used classic tweans in my animation.
originally I wanted it to be more interactive so the reader wouldn't become bored during the story but as i was making my animation i found it difficult to create the buttons to make my story interactive. i have put some buttons in there but there aren't as many as I would of liked.
the script in my animation is a little childish and not really very interesting. also some of the conversations were a little rushed and i think i should have added in more to them.
the first time the scene changed was good because it changed gradually but after the first one all the others didn't have a gradual change so it became very jumpy.
if i was to re-do my animation then i would have followed the story board that i drew, as in my final outcome it doesn't follow the story board and is very different at the end. i would also have added more into the conversations as some bits seam like they are missing. i would have made the transition between each new scene(place) allot smoother as the whole animation looks jumpy. and i would have added more blinks and emotion marks.

shout outs / speech bubbles
today we learned how to create a speech bubble in flash. it was quite simple. we used the oval tool with a black outline and white centre, then we used the line tool to ad a point onto it, after that we got rid of the line we didn't knead with the selection tool. and that's how we created a speech bubble

panning and zooming
we zoomed and panned across a picture by using flash the way we did this was we used the same method as we did for our previous animation (we made a classic tween) a classic tween is a digital process not a traditional the difference between digital and traditional is digital is when the computer does the work and traditional is when you yourself does the work

story board
at the beginning i will put a picture of the cake and it will be a sertain colour and then in the culprets room (the maid) i will put some stains and icing on the picture that is the same colour of the cake so then it will be like a clue.
change in story idea
i have changed my story idea as the last one was a bit childish and i also didn't have many ides about how i would do the story.
so my new idea is going to be a side story to a story i have started righting at home.
in my comic it will be about tenshi (the girl on the right) and Ike (the boy on the left) day out. the way this story will be interactive is the reader will be able to chose were they go and what they do there for example the 2 choices that the reader will be given for were they can go is to either the park or the festival, then say the reader chooses the festival. the next choice would've bean what they eat eg. noodles or candy.
or if it was the park the options would be weather to fead the ducks or to go on a boat.

my idea
my idea is that it is the princesses birthday and there is a party and everyone goes to reveal the cake to the princess but then the cake has bean eaten. so they way it will be interactive is that you as a reader has to find out who it the person that ate it.
the characters are
the pricess
pince
king
cook
dog
and a stepmother
i have the sketch already done for the princess
and i have also done the desighn for the prince

experimeting with typography
we made a shape out of letters the way we did this was we used the custom shape tool and clicked the path button at the to to make it a path then after we used the text tool and clicked inside the path and then that let us right inside of it and then it turned out like the shape u picked but made out of text
then we made a different type of typography instead of it making a shape we made i follow a line all we did for this one was we made a path with the pen tool and the selected the text tool and clicked on the path and then what ever we wrote followed the path
then we made warp text the way we did this was realy simple and easy.we clicked the text tool and then wrote what we wanted on the canvas and then cicked a button at the top called warp text then a small window came up and we could change the text as much as we wantedlastly we had to try to make a face out of typography. to make this the first thing we did was took a photo ofouself andthe we tunred the saturation to grayscale and then we whent to filter galery and chose cutout after that we played around with the bars on the right to make te face have simple shapes. after that we selected the magic wand tool and clicked on a part of the image then w right clicked and selected make work path then after that we got the text tool and wrote inside of it and we repeated this for each part we wanted to wright in

animating in flash
first we got our image that we made (in my bitmap blog) and added a new layer and put a circle on that layer. then we pressed f8 to make it into a movie clip. then we clicked frame 5 on the framee bar at the bottom and pressed f6 to make a key frame and then moved the circle to a different place on the screen after we were happy were it was we right clicked imbetween frame 0 and 5 and selected classic tween an then we repeated it as many times as we wanted to make the circle move across the screen
after that we animated the inside of the ball the way we did this was we double liked the circle and then made a animation of a blinking eye. the way we did this was the same way as how we made the circle move exept we didnt create a tween

interactive comic research
i was told to look at some interactive comics. the first one i looked at was the hotel by h. hoogerbrugger.
the story was about a doctor doing experiments on volunteers but they ended up dieing. that's about all i could understand because the way the story is put across is a bit hard to understand. i liked this one because it was very interactive and there was a bit of
humour. i didn't like it because of the nudity.
for this interactive comic i think that they have used a tablet to create these pictures so therefore they have used a traditional method to create their comic
the next comic i looked at was dead on arrival. it was about a man reporting his own murder and and each time you read it the murderer changed. this comic was less interactive than hotel but it was still interactive. i like how they used the black and grey colours with a very bold colour every now and again.
but i didn't like how the photos had black dots all over them
in this interective comic the creator has used a traditional method of capture. he/she has used photography to get the pictures for this story
the third comic i looked at was called meow meow.
this comic wasn't very interactive but if you waved you mouse over a certain spot then something would happen. i liked the fact that you had to look for the extra things that come out. but i would prefer it if there was more interactiveness.
for this interactive comic they have used a drawing tablet to create these pictures. so the way they have captured what they wanted with a traditional method
the last comic i looked at was a comic about alice in wonderland. the way it was inteactive was that you had to hover your mouse over the speach bubbles to get the writing to come up. i liked the art wor in it but i would prefr it if it was more interactive. i think that this person has used a traditional method because it looks like it was drawn and then scanned on so it is also a digital method of capture

inserting a bitmap into flash
first we had our image in photoshop and then we had to re size it so it was the rite size for an iPhone
we used the rulers and cropped the image to the size requirements then we pressed 'ctrl','a' and then we pressed 'ctrl','c' to copy it after that we pasted it onto the stage in flash

origonal vs interactive
there are a couple diferences with thes types of comics. in interactive comics they are digital were as in the origonal comics they arent digital, they are drawn on paper. another way they are diferent is because in a interactive comic the reader is able to have a sertain amount of controll over what happens to the story but in an origonal comic the reader has no control over the story

interactive comic
interactive comics are a digital vertion of a story that you can itereact with. what i mean buy interact is that for example you can change the story buy clicking on diferent things e.g in the story the caracter hase to do something and you can chose what it does buy clicking a option and for every option there is a diferent way the story would go
